I’ve been blessed and have had my parents giving me love and support for my entire life. This is year for this Father’s Day; my dad is looking down from heaven. It’s been 4 ½ months and while things do start to get better with time, life is never the same.
We were blessed to have a lot of good times and wonderful memories. We miss you but we know that you are now free, no longer trapped inside when you just wanted to get out and play. To drive around time, popping in on friends and relatives just to say hi and catch up. To pack up your fishing gear and head to the riverbank and fish the summer days away. Watching westerns even though you knew every story by heart and every actor you still enjoyed them. We miss your creative cooking and the best mashed-potatoes ever.
Silly songs, stories from the past and a joke for everyone, you always had something up your sleeve. Just thinking about it makes me happy and sad. I know you’re looking out for us and I know you will always be there.
